A little change in plans

So last night I get home and hubby has supper started. He worked a little later then he thought he would. He goes to take a shower while I finish getting super together. Then I go take a shower. We are flirting with each other suggesting different things we would like to do in the hot tub.

Only a few minutes to go before the hockey game starts. We decide we will just cuddle on the couch and watch it. It just seemed like a lot of work to drag the TV out and hook it up by the tub.

We kept watching the game and flirting. We still had a few "games" we wanted to play in the hot tub. So we decide at the second intermission we will run out to the tub and play.

The end of the second period horn sounds, Hubby runs out to the tub and lifts the cover off. I run into the bathroom to put my hair up (trust me, long flowing hair in a hot tub might look sexy, but I almost drowned when it got sucked into the drain) I grab 2 big thick bath towels and throw on my robe. I meet hubby in the kitchen he is waiting in his robe and slippers.

We go out side.

IT IS F***ING FREEZING OUTSIDE!

It is -45F with the wind chill! We start laughing and ask each other "what the hell were we thinking!" We decide the water might be hot enough to keep us warm once we are in the hot tub, but it was just too cold and windy to take the chance that we might be froze to death when we get out and one of us had to cover the tub back up.

I could just see it. Frozen stiff on the deck wearing nothing but a bright red robe and blue fuzzy slippers! I am sure my neighbors would love to find me like that!

So we had a change of plans and watched the last period in bed. Then watched the Wild loose in overtime....

Not to worry! We consoled each other and made sure we found something to do to take our mind off the loss!

Uh yeah, it was freaking frozen last night here, too. Unless your hot tub has a barrier against the wind, I imagine your faces would have been facicles within minutes! Not a good idea. Glad you guys were smart about it and chose other venues for watching the game... and, you know. ;)

It was a much better idea to stay in...hubby said as he ran for the house "It's so cold out here I think it just froze and fell off" He was pointing at a broom stick the dogs had been playing with earlier....I laughed so hard I thought I might pee my pants....then I remembered I wasn't wearing any!

What does one say to all that?
Well, it sounds like everything worked out after all!

What we did was get out of the cold and go see movies for "her" birthday!
We saw two romantic comedies in one day.
"JUNO" and "Definitely, Maybe!"

Both are worth seeing! We rate them 4 starts each :)

ps
We don't have a hot tub <chuckle>

Lust freezes off

I was wondering about that possibility with our lovely weather. Hot tubs plus icy winds from the frozen arctic seem a little too unfriendly for lust to thrive in.

But you found a remedy.

When we stayed in Big Bear we saw lots of cabins and lodges with hot tubs in the bedroom. I'm checking on that next time!

It would have been a shock

To neighbors and your parents to have to find either of you frozen (STIFF) in the back yard by the hot tub.
Glad everything worked out ok for the two of you and hope you both had a wonderful sleep.

LOL Can you just imagine that psycho neighbor of yours finding you frozen that way? I had to laugh when I found myself imagining that.

I was thinking of you when I saw the Wild lost. Every time I see them in the paper or the news I think of you now. : )

lol...I'm glad it all worked out for you. I know for sure I wouldn't have been able to handle it outside. I had a friend once that actually had a hot tub in her family room, it was pretty cool.:)

I know I shouldn't, but I am totally cracking up at the visual I got of your hair being sucked up in the drain. Sorry.
